Na 2 S therapy reduces apoptosis and oxidative stress following MI/R. For these experiments, the extent of apoptosis and oxidative stress was evaluated in the hearts of db/db diabetic mice subjected to 30 minutes of ischemia and 4 hours of reperfusion.
